I was born in Chicago on September 11, 1976. A Bi-centennial baby they called me over and over. My father came to the States in 1973 from Santiago, Chile. My mother is a typical Suburban Chicagoan, but less boring and materialistic and more loving, crazy and nosy. I love my parents and they are nuts. I have two living brothers and one dead brother.

Another important fact about me, at least in the eyes of Art Historians. I was raised a Christian Scientist, not to be confused with Scientology, and attended a Christian Science boarding school. It was my choice to go to this school and it was awesome, I highly recommend boarding school to teens and parents. Ironically, I gave up CS in college--recently I have become interested in how that religion shaped me.

If home is where you hang your heart, then my home will always be Camp Makajawan in Pearson Wisconsin. I worked eleven summers at that Boy Scout Camp and it was the most rewarding and enriching experience ever. Every summer I long to go back.

In addition, I spend most of my "extra" time refereeing for the recent phenomenon that is Women's Flat Track Roller Derby and the Gotham Girls Roller Derby. It's cool.  Refereeing is a thankless job.

Chicago, Northern Virginia, Northern Wisconsin, Iowa, St. Louis, Southern Illinois, Tucson Arizona and New York City have all be home to me.

Currently I teach at Bronx Community College and at the Guggenheim Museum.
